This is less a guide and more the relating of my limited experience and knowledge of nude and topless beaches on Paros. Like so many other subjects involving social mores naturalism is constantly evolving. What I read before coming to Greece seven years ago no longer seems to be true. For instance now you will occasionally see younger Greek girls topless; earlier mainly Scandinavians and Germans were going bare. Now you see them everywhere so more women are taking the plunge.
Because life is better without clothes
Some travelers to Greece want to bare it all. And rightfully so, as European countries are known for their scanty beach dress code. Some require a hike to a secluded nook, while others boast a party scene for birthday-suit bathers. And while there are only a few dedicated "nude beaches" in Greece, most have clothing-optional areas or times. It's accessible by a minute hike depending on your fitness level over a small mountain. Pack light and wear sunscreen, as you won't have the need for any clothing once you get there. And sip a traditional beverage like a canelada or kanalada under an umbrella at the bar. Favored by summer-long nudists readily recognized due to the depth of their all-over tans , this nude beach offers fresh, cold water that springs up from below the stones.
Nude Beaches in Mykonos
Good vibes, mostly couples. Aghios Nikolaos at Anavyssos is okay too, and a bit closer to the city. Limanakia is mostly gay, hence the many nude men and the not-so-nude ladies accompanying them. There are also some more cost areas for nudists around Attica and near Athens. Most notable but not mentioned in this article is the Kineta nudist beach. A wide coastline but far away from Athens center with separate straight and gay spots.
The country is known for its clothing-optional bathing areas, although almost all of them are not official nude beaches. Mykonos, which was one of the first islands to be discovered by tourists, attracted hippies and naturists, and continues to be a favorite of those looking for a holiday in the sun au naturel. There are no official nude beaches, but a few do usually have a considerable number of nude sunbathers, usually concentrated on one side of the beach, away from the bars and sunbeds, and usually fewer in number during the most crowded days of July and August, especially on weekends.
